Location: Havre de Grace, Maryland

Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

Havre de Grace, Maryland, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This position is centered on providing speech and language services to students within our local school district.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
  3. Administer direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  4. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to foster students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  6. Maintain precise and current documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations.
  7. Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  8. Stay abreast of current research, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland.
  3. Certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  4. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  5. Preferred experience working with students in educational settings.
  6. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
