Beyond their talent, these classmates share a desire to shape the future through technology, insight, intellectual exploration, and community service.Job Description:The School of Management invites applications for two positions at the Assistant Professor level in Finance to begin Fall 2026, subject to budgetary approval.Position Responsibilities:Conduct high quality research and contribute to the intellectual environment of the area.Teach two courses per semester at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.Contribute to the School, the University, and the professional community by actively engaging through service by involvement in committees, shared governance, and review services.The salary and benefits package are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. To support faculty research, SOM provides summer funding for the first three years of service.The start date for the position is August 17, 2026. The School of Management (SOM) is AACSB accredited and is nationally recognized for its success in developing future business leaders. SOM is listed as a top 10 business school among fully public institutions by Poets&Quants. The School offers bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. programs. SOM consistently ranks among the top business schools for our undergraduate and graduate business programs.The Finance faculty at the School of Management have a consistent record of scholarly achievement and have published in high-quality journals that include Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.The undergraduate Finance program has earned national recognition, including being featured by The Wall Street Journal as among the finance programs for high-paying careers.
