Assistant Floor Manager FULL-TIME

$14.50/hr

Responsible for receiving the product and ensures thataisles are stocked, labeled, clean and delivered product is packed
out, and proper customer service is provided.

Essential Functions:
• Ensure proper customerservice and works to develop relationships with large customers.
• Supervises Floor Supervisors and Stockers to assurethat shelves are stocked and merchandise is rotated.
•Develops schedules, monitors performance and recommends the properdiscipline as appropriate.
• Trains employees in jobresponsibilities and safe operating procedures
•Interview candidates and recommend for hire
•Disciplines employees when necessary and recommend terminations.
• Ensures that employees are performing the properinspections to meet HACCP regulations as well as conductingperiodic HACCP audits.
• Reviews inventory for productrotation on a daily basis to prevent shrinkage and damages.
• Ensures that shelf pricing is correct and reflects themost recent pricing and market conditions.
• Supervisesthe receiving of products and ensures that the proper paperwork iscompleted.
• Maintains accurate computer inventorylevels by having physical inventories performed on a regular basisand
adjustments made.
• Supervises theordering of products from vendors on a regular basis to assure wehave competitive pricing and minimal
shrink due tospoilage and not have too much inventory on hand.
•Coordinates that the pallets stored in the racks have the properblock and date tags.
• Follows program to maintain thecleanliness of the area by a regular maintenance schedule ofscrubbing, and pulling
out pallets and cleaningunderneath.
• Insures that excess inventory not slottedon floor is stacked in overhead racks in close proximity to whereit is
sold or stored in freezers/refrigerators.
• Assures that trash is removed from floor and properlyhandled.
• Makes sure that low stock/out of stockinformation is communicated to the Inventory Controller aftercarefully checking the system and rack for product.
•Ensures that all signage is correct and that the flyers’ prices arereflected on the product.
• Coordinates propermerchandising of aisles (logical adjacencies, proper holding power,space allocation, etc.) and creatively merchandises and sets upimpulse areas for merchandising.
• Performs additionalduties, responsibilities and projects as assigned.
•Performs weekly self-audits on the perishable department.

Work Environment:
• Requires frequent exposureto cold temperatures
• Equipment in motion (forklifts,electric pallet jacks, scooters)

Schedule

Shift start: 6:00AM
Shift length: 8 - 10hours
4 weekdays typically 10:00am - 8:00pm andSaturdays 7:00am - 4:00pm

Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma/GED with atleast 4 years experience in customer service Basic math skillsComputer Literacy
