School Psychologist

The Saginaw School District is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year

About the Position:

In this vital role, you will play a key part in supporting the academic success and well-being of our students. You will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to identify and address learning and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments to identify learning disabilities and other potential barriers to learning.
• Analyze assessment data and write comprehensive reports.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Section 504 plans in collaboration with the team.
• Provide counseling and support to students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.
• Consult with teachers and administrators on strategies to promote student success.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school psychology.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field.
• Michigan School Psychologist Certificate (Preliminary or Full) issued by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
