WeOffer:PaidTrainingPay Rate Increase aftersuccessful completion ofTrainingHealth & WellnessBenefitsPaidHolidaysIncentiveBonuses Drivers at this facility will operate a vehicle on anassigned route in transporting passengers to and from designatedlocations, as well as related activities, in a safe, timelymanner. DUTIES:  Operators shallcomplete pre-trip inspections prior to pull-out and post-tripinspections following pull-in.  During the post-tripinspections, operators must perform a thorough walk through of thebus, pick up any loose trash or debris, and ensure there are nopassengers still on board.  Operatorslog-in to the AVL system prior to scheduled pull-out from theoperating division and/or start of revenue service, whicheveroccurs earlier or first. Operatorsshall report emergencies (i.e., accidents, incidents, suspiciousactivity or packages, and fires), service disruptions, and otheroccurrences.Operatorsshall accommodate use of the vehicle mounted bicyclerack.Operators shallensure fare collection and recording of each boarding by fare type,including recording of non-fare boarding as set forth by the Clientand regional fare policies. Operatorsshall:
  • Operators must ensure thatfareboxes areoperational.
  • Operatorsmust log on to fareboxes via Single-Sign-On or manuallog-on.
  • Fares arecharged and collected from passengers at the point ofboarding.
  • Operatorsmust record instances of fare evasion by pressing the correctfarebox operator control unitbutton.
  • Passengerspaying reduced cash fares or boarding with reduced fare media areeligible.
  • SmartTripcards including those with mutilated pictures are graphics areelectronically processed by the farebox to ensure eligibility forfare payment.
  • Allpassengers can activate/validate their SmartTrip-enabled passes inan approved manner with thefarebox.
  • Operatorsanswer questions aboutfares.
  • Operators logoff fareboxes.
Maintain, read and understand route sheetsincluding time changes and notify supervisor immediately of anychanges. Maintain good work habits through timeliness and lowabsenteeism for daily assignment and extratrips.Operate the two-way equipment correctly and according tocompany policy.Inspect each vehicle before and after eachtrip using correct procedures and complete all necessary forms andreport Operate the vehicle and stop to allow passengers to boardand disembark using safe and responsibleprocedures.Operate adaptive transportation lift to board anddischarge challenged passengers using safe and responsibleprocedures. Maintain a presentable appearance whichincludes being properly dressed according to company standards,neat grooming and goodhygiene.Maintain a cooperative attitude with fellow employees,supervisors, passengers, always promoting company goodwill.Control emergency situations in propermanner.Control vehicle keys, fueling slip receipts, pre-tripand post-trip forms while in possession, and turn in to dispatch asrequired by yoursupervisor.Successfully complete driving skillsevaluation.Attend all required in-service training, companyrequired safety meeting and training, and any other requiredmeetings. Must be able to comply with all contractual obligationsas well as all local, state and federal laws and regulationspertaining to the operation of thevehicle.Immediately reports every accident, no matter howinsignificant the accident mayappear.Accurately maintains proper shift documentation reports,and records.Follows the correct end-of-shiftprocedures.At various locations, must be willing to work in a Unionenvironment.Perform other duties asrequired.  REQUIREMENTS: Education andExperience:
  • High school diplomarequired.
  • Operators must have a valid drivers’license for the past five (5) years including a national driver’slicense verification and background check.
  • Alldriver must be a minimum of 23 years ofage.
  • Mustexhibit proficiency in the Englishlanguage.
  • Must be able to read a map, possess knowledge of theservice area, and be able to pass vision, road, and math, maptests, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexiblehours.
  • Must be hospitable, guest/customer service oriented, andbe willing to serve the needs ofpassengers.
  • Must complete and sign a Transdev employment applicationin its entirety.
    • Anunjustified refusal to supply requested information of afalsification of information will result in the elimination of theapplicant for consideration foremployment.
  • Must provide a complete and verifiableemployment history.  Employmenthistory must be verified with all employers listed on theapplication and must include the past 10 years of employment, whenapplicable.

 Licensing andCertification: Must have maintained a valid driver’s license for threeyears and must possess a current valid Commercial Drivers’ License(CDL) at the time ofapplication.Drivers shall notpossess two (2) or more moving violations within the past 35months.Drivers with three (3) or more movingviolations within the past 36 months will not be able to operateany County owned/leased vehicle.If anapplicant’s license has ever been suspended, the applicant musthave two (2) full years with noviolations.Must have a complete and certified driving record lessthan 30 days old. No more than 2points.Ability to obtain and maintain for the duration ofemployment a Passenger for Hire Badge, ifapplicable.Valid CDL license with passenger endorsement andairbrakes for CDLpositions.Must present an original Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)issued within the last 30 days and according to company, state andcontract requirements.  You must meetthe following standards:No homicide, manslaughter, or assault convictionsassociated with the operation of a motorvehicle.No convictions for driving while intoxicated within thepast seven (7) years.No more than two (2) minor movingviolations within the past 35months.No major moving violations within the past 36 months,including but not limited to: failure to stop at the scene of an accident, drivingwith a revoked license, possession of an opened alcoholiccontainer, attempting to elude an officer,etc.No more than one (1) ticketed at-fault accident withinthe past 36 months.Transdev will review the existence of anyviolations or convictions and may deny employment based on aviolation, conviction, or pattern of violations/convictionsindicating safetyrisks. Pre-EmploymentPhysicalMust undergo a pre-employment drug test and physical bya company appointed physician/facility and receiveclearance.Must be willing to undergo random drugtesting.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representativeof those that must be met by an employee to successfully performthe essential functions of this job.
