The SAP PMO Leader isa director-level position that is responsible for the day-to-daymanagement and ongoing strategy for all activities involved inportfolio, project, and change management inclusive of businessanalysis, project control.

KeyAccountabilities:

  • Manages day-to-dayactivities in the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensureprograms and projects meet organization goals, as aligned withstrategy, and requirements.
  • Lead, implementand drive adoption of PMO tools and processes to effectively managethe delivery of projects for the organization.
  • Serve as reference point for PMO queries and provideguidance related to PMO processes, methodologies, andpolicies.
  • Portfolio management for in-flightand in-queue projects for all applications and technologyprojects.
  • Resource planning to ensure properstaffing of approved projects. Includes employed staff,contractors, and outsourced resources.
  • Facilitate prioritization discussions between IT andbusiness teams’ leadership to ensure alignment on the company's ITproject investments.
  • Manage the team toeffectively capture functional and non-functional requirements forall projects. Ensure requirement traceability throughout theproject lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered onscope.
  • Lead and manage the team to provideeffective project management for all projects. Includes budget,schedule, risk, resource, and scope management. Includesappropriate application of change management practices inclusive ofeffective stakeholder communication.
  • Ensuresthe identification of risk, issues, risk response strategies andrisk responses to ensure schedule compliance.
  • Ensure proper operational readiness stage gate criteriais defined and met of all projects prior to deployment toproduction.
  • Conduct post project assessment tocapture learnings and ensure continuous improvement on tools andmethodologies.
  • Provide organization andfunction wide reporting on project priorities, status,risks.
  • Seeks methods of improving/automatingprocess and find ways to improve processes andprofitability.
  • Develop and executes multi-yearstrategic roadmap across the organization with calibrationexercises years; built upon interviews with business owners,prioritization, executive vision, and demand needs.
  • Collaborated with stakeholders to maintain ongoingpartnership with continuous improvement mindset, working to applyknowledge and strategies to meet demands.
  • Manage and lead a team of reports within the PMOsupporting project, change, and portfolio management and businessanalysis.
  • Lead requests forproposal/information initiatives to meet the organization andbusiness demands from initialization to finalization.
  • Understand and maintains business acumen to supportbusiness partners to meet and exceed expectations. Drives tosuccess technical tools and resources, business strategies andgoals; functions as a leader with the ability to make decisionsthat impact the organization, provide direction, and setroadmaps.

Education andExperience:

  • Bachelor's Degree plusfifteen (15) years of related business experience and five (5)years or analytical experience required.
  • Five(5) plus years of experience in leading organizational changeand/or project deployment required.
  • PMPCertification
  • Exposure to the businessfunctions of a manufacturing enterprise from an operations,finance, supply chain, or business analysis perspectivepreferred.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strongcritical self-review skills.
  • Demonstratesability to deliver communication which is clear, concise, andrelevant to audience through appropriate methods andtools.
  • Appreciates what constitutes goodcustomer service and displays consistent commitment todelivering.
  • Exhibits a high degree ofprofessionalism.
  • Organized methodicalapplication of established data governance standards.
  • Proactive approach to role and problem solving; solutionrather than problem focused.
  • Self-motivated,flexible, with the ability to deal with high levels of complexity,change and evolving processes, often at short notice.
  • Strong leader/coach abilities and mentality.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and project managementmethodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visioand Project.
  • Demonstrated mid-level or aboveproficiency with MS Office Excel, analyzing and manipulating largedatasets through formulas and macros preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience extractingdata and developing reports in an ERP environmentpreferred.
  • Experience defining, writing andimplementing business processes and data standardspreferred.
  • CPA, Six Sigma, PMP, or similarpreferred.
