TheMaintenance Technician III provides complex technical repairs andpreventive maintenance on Bakery equipment including mechanical,electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems tominimize downtime. This role troubleshoots issues, performsrepairs, installs new parts, executes equipment overhauls, testsrepaired equipment, and maintains records in the computerizedmaintenance system.


Responsibilities:

  • Providestechnical repairs to complex electronic, mechanical, andProgrammable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, fabricates, and/or installselectronic systems, complex gauges, instrumentation repairs, andnew parts including mechanical and electronic interfaces
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts, installs, and programselectronic, electric, and pneumatic controls and instrumentationused to control and measure equipment performance, access tobuildings, building automation systems, fire protectionsystems, material handling systems (elevators, etc.), and energymeasurement systems.
  • Assists productionworkers in diagnosing malfunctions in systems andequipment.
  • Executes major equipment overhauls.Tests equipment after repairs, changeovers, or extendeddowntime.
  • Maintains production equipment whileoperating on a defined production schedule.
  • Operates general machinery and tools including saws,drills, power tools, scissor lifts, forklifts, etc.
  • Interacts with and maintains records in accordance withMaintenance Management System requirements and job assignments andcommunicates via email, all with the use of computersystems
  • Completes duties in accordance withquality assurance, GMPs, safety, and other company programs andprocedures, and in compliance with government code andregulations.
  • Maintains clean, organized, andsafe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools,sweeping and mopping floors, and trash removal.
  • Confers with and coordinates activities with Bakerypersonnel and other departments to minimize disruptions toproduction and maintenance schedules.
  • Performsother duties as assigned orrequired.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool diploma with a minimum of 4 years of experience ininstrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics,mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial andmanufacturing machinery or 6 years of experience ininstrumentation, measurement, and control systems, electronics,mechanical and/or electrical experience in industrial andmanufacturing machinery. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering ora related field is preferred.
  • 4 ormore years experience in industrial maintenance environmenttroubleshooting PLC software, I/O, and field devices and workingwith mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systemspreferred
  • Experience in three of the followingskills: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and foodmanufacturing process controls.
  • Knowledge ofequipment set-up, functionality, operating procedures, andpreventative maintenance techniques.
  • Able tohandle multiple tasks with the capability of prioritizing andplanning work activities.
  • Must have theability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical,instrumentation, and control systems design documentation andvendor-supplied documents including Process & InstrumentDrawings (PID), electrical single line drawings, instrument loopdrawings, electrical cable, routing and termination, mechanicaldiagrams and machine layout drawings.
  • Must beable to work in a fast-paced environment and must also adapt tofrequent changes that occur on the productionline.
