Position:Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained Setting)
Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule:Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m.
About Us:
Soliant is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our partnered school district in the St. Paul, Minnesota area. Full-time benefits available with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a self-contained classroom with a caseload of five (5) 7th-12th grade students.
- Collaborate with two paraprofessionals to provide comprehensive support.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior plans.
- Provide instruction and support tailored to students with cognitive disabilities, autism, and other special needs.
- Prepare and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and document student progress in academic, behavioral, and social areas.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license. Preference for Special Education ASD, DD, or DCD licenses, but Tier 1 or Out-Of-Field permissions will be considered.
- Experience working with students with cognitive disabilities, autism, behaviors, etc.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
