Band Teacher

Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band Teacher to join our team in Reserve, LA. As a Band Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the art of music, fostering their musical talents and helping them develop into skilled musicians. This is a contract position where you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young musicians.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive band curriculum aligned with state standards and district objectives.
• Instruct students in instrumental techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills.
• Lead rehearsals, conduct performances, and organize band concerts and events.
• Provide individualized instruction and support to students of varying skill levels.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to musical growth and development.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community members to support student success and promote the importance of music education.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and participation.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in music education through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification/license in Music Education (Louisiana certification preferred).
• Previous experience teaching band at the elementary, middle, or high school level.
• Proficiency in playing and instructing various band instruments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential in music.
