We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Ann Arbor, MI. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in helping students improve their communication abilities, ensuring they have the tools to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.
  • Develop individualized therapy plans to address each students unique needs, with measurable goals to support communication development.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services in one-on-one or group sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance student communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure communication strategies are integrated into the classroom and home environments.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing valuable input regarding student progress and appropriate accommodations.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support speech and language development in everyday situations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Michigan state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is advantageous, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for working with children to overcome communication challenges.
