A love oftravel attracts many people to the field, but to succeed a TravelAgent must be passionate about travel and the endless opportunitiesit brings to bridge history, cultures and cuisine. SuccessfulTravel Agents must have a strong sales drive, organizational skillswith an eye for detail, ability to multi-task in a fast-pacedenvironment, demonstrated proficiency in navigating computers andvarious programs; must possess good written and oral communicationskills and the ability and interest to be in a continuous learningcurve.

What does aAAA Travel Agent do?

  • Sellsinternational and domestic travel packages including cruises, landpackages, travel itineraries, air, car, andhotel
  • Shares knowledge and expertise frompersonal experiences and/or education studytrips
  • Develops long standing relationships withour members and builds referral and repeatbusiness
  • Makes appropriate recommendations toensure the trip experience is more than expected and tailored tothe members expectations
  • Cross sells relevantproducts to enhance the trip experience such as AAA Member RewardsCredit Card and identify theft referrals
  • Forthe right individual this opportunity will be a career path forfuture leadership opportunities. As you progress you will beevaluated to determine proficiencies in sales, customer service,administrative, operations, up-selling, cross-selling and meetinggoals. Successful completion of evaluations may result in continuedgrowth opportunities to expand into leadership as amanager.

Required/ Preferred Skills

  • A highschool diploma is required
  • You need to be ableto pass a comprehensive criminal background check and thoroughurine sample drug screening
  • We prefercandidates with at least 2 years of successful retail sales orbanking experience or a leisure travel agency background within agoal-orientatedenvironment

  • You have a strong and very comfortablerelationship with paperwork and you are veryorganized
