Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer
Shift: Days / 7:30a-6p, 10x4, 40hrs per week, Every other weekend
Length: 14 weeks
CALL REQUIREMENTS: 1 week of call twice during 13-week contract
HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Unit accepts first time travelers
  • BLS
  • Accepts the RDCS/CCI in place of ARDMS at many facilities
  • RDVS-Adult/RCS, 3D Echo, Bubble study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Experience with portable studies, & RVOT/RIT
  • ARRT - Sonography, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echo, & Syngo dynamics preferred

COMPLIANCE: FULL compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit accepts first time travelers
PATIENT POPULATION: Adolescents - Geriatrics - Echo Tech - We perform TEE, stress echo, and complete TTE with use of Lumason contrast, 3D and Strain on inpatient, ICU patients, and outpatients. Our Sonographers have a great rapport with our cardiologists and enter preliminary reports. We support the organ recovery center (ORC), the largest organ recovery center in the southeast and Shepherds Spine Center. We perform a substantial amount of structural echos including TAVRs, Mitral Clips, MVRs, TVRs, ASD closures and scan patients with devices such as LVAD, Impella and ECMO.UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, Phillips, SiemensREQUIRED SKILLS: BLS, RDVS-Adult/RCS, 3D Echo, Bubble study, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Experience with portable studies, & RVOT/RITPREFERRED SKILLS: ARRT - Sonography, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, Treadmill Stress Echo, & Syngo dynamics
