Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician A to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in Enfield, CT.

Shift: Full-Time l Sunday-Wednesday 2:00PM-12:30AM, OFF Thursday-Saturday

Pay: $30.00-36.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Fleet Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of fleet diesel equipment, as well as the diagnostics and rebuilding of clutches and brake systems
  • As a Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders related to repairs and preventative maintenance using the online AssetWorks system
  • You will operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of roadside service calls
  • You will ensure that equipment has the required licensing and registration before being deemed "roadworthy"
  • You will install, replace, and repair onboard computers (XRS or XataNet) and/or cameras (DriveCam)
  • You will work in accordance with company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations to ensure safety
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 3 plus years of related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
  • Must have a valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles
  • Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Technical School Certification
