Job Title: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location:San Bernardino, CA Area

School Year:2025-2026

Employment Type:Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Onsite, Itinerant

Pay: $48-60/Hour

Job Details:

  • Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12 (this is an itinerant, district-wide position).
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with visual impairments
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance student learning.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' academic and social success.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' skills and progress.
  • Advocate for students' access to appropriate educational resources and accommodations.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in education, with a specialization in visual impairments or blindness.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in California (Open to candidates with pending license)
  • Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
  • Experience with Braille preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
