Position Assignment: Pilot Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting J-NEEO at Nellis AFB.
We are seeking an experienced Pilot SME to join our team at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training team to achieve training objectives. Responsibilities include:
• Prepare lesson plans, assists in creation of training material and courseware updates for pilot training.
• Collaborate on the development of future Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) training concepts.
• Act as a subject matter expert by applying advanced technical concepts in aviation.
• Assists in the preparation of schedules, maintenance of training records and ensures that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student.
• Advise leadership on improvement for JSE or 5th Gen tactics and future training needs.
• Pilot non-weapon system approved simulator devices (PIAB, JIAB, XR training device) using known fighter tactics as a wingman or as red air.
• This position will require up to 20% travel.

This position is typically represented by an experienced pilot.

Basic Qualifications:
• The Government facility may require personnel to have as required up to Top Secret/SAP/SCI clearance to work in those spaces.
• Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems, operational experience with advanced sensor systems .
• Candidate should have Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft.
• Experience with simulator devices and an understanding of fighter tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with leadership and interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
• Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
• Business travel.
• Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
Desired Skills:
• Current or demonstrated experience as an USAF/USN/USMC IP.
• Fifth generation flight experience is highly desired.
• Fifth generation flight simulator experience as an operator and/or instructor.
• Experience interfacing with customer at military locations.
• Experience with fifth generation pilot training curriculum.
• Familiarity with fifth generation program requirements.
• Currently possess program special access.
• Former Military Instructor experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
