Position Overview:The Occupational Therapist will work with a diverse caseload of K-12 students, providing onsite services. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the daily living and academic skills of students through targeted interventions and collaboration with educational staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plansfor students.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' occupational therapy needs.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Stay current with research and best practices in occupational therapy and special education.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of California.
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, methods, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
