Responsibilities Position is in an acute care Critical Access Hospital (CAH) on a Med/Tele/Swing unitPatient population includes acute and swing bed cases such as pneumonia, rehab, COPD, CHF, pancreatitis, and GI bleedUnit includes 19 beds with nurse to patient ratios of 1:3-6Required to read own telemetry strips using Mindray monitorsMandatory night shifts with 12-hour shift lengthsSchedule includes every other weekend and every other holidayFloating is required to Med/Tele Acute/Obs/Swingbed units with travelers as first to floatUses the Meditech EMR systemCNAs provide support with personal care, vitals, and weightsRNs set up and manage BiPap, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula equipmentRole includes participation as part of the code teamStrong teamwork and a positive work culture are emphasized on this unitMust provide professional references including one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 yearsTravelers are welcome; previous travel experience not requiredPersonal scrubs are required and can be any colorOrientation consists of 3-4 unit-specific 12-hour shiftsUp to 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contractNo call or standby required Requirements Active ND or compact RN license required at time of considerationCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications are requiredMinimum of 1 year recent RN experience in medical or telemetry settingsExperience with IV starts, telemetry, NG, and foley catheter insertionCompetence required in setting up BiPap, CPAP, and HFNC devicesMust read own tele stripsExperience with Meditech EMR is preferredCandidates may not have been employed (full/part time or PRN) with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past yearMust reside at least 50 miles from the facilityDriver’s license required for consideration Benefits High Pay and BonusesMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options401(k) PlanWeekly Payroll DepositFree Online CEUsGenerous Housing AllowanceTravel and Licensure ReimbursementsNon-taxed Per Diem and SubsidyTraveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID #P-643646.
