Job Description:

Santa Clarita, California, is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students within our diverse school district.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop customized treatment plans tailored to address the individual communication needs of each student.
  3. Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
  4. Foster collaborative relationships with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor and track students' progress regularly, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to facilitate positive outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in accordance with state regulations and school district policies.
  7. Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing valuable insights and contributing to multidisciplinary team discussions.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.

Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  3. Certification from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board (SLPAB), or eligibility for certification.
  4. Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  5. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  6. Thorough understanding of educational policies, procedures, and regulations related to special education services.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  8. Preferred experience working with culturally diverse student populations and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
