Middle School

We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for an hourly contract position near Williston, SC. As an ELA teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering students' literacy skills, critical thinking abilities, and love for literature.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum objectives.
• Teach reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills to middle school students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate diverse learning needs.
• Assess student progress through quizzes, tests, projects, and other assignments.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary units and activities.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid South Carolina teaching certification in ELA (or eligible for certification).
• Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a passion for inspiring students' love of reading and writing.
