We are looking for a skilled and experienced Strategic Planner that embodies unwavering commitment, professionalism in support of the Marine Forces Special Operations Command.

Duties include tasks that assist in the development, continued refinement, and implementation of the client’s Future Vision, supporting campaign plans and strategies, and operational concepts. Tasks focus within the areas of program management and coordination; documentation preparation and coordination; and identifying, modeling, and analyzing strategic initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree in military science or related field preferred.
  • TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in the Department of Defense on a Military staff, performing executive functions and bi-lateral information flow between the Commander and subordinate units.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in a Special Operations Forces billet preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of Marine Corp Planning Process, Joint Planning Process, or equivalent military planning process.
  • Experience with Component level operational planning and execution.
  • Knowledge and experience with force operational plans integration related to Joint Force requirements and contingency planning.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of MARSOC organization, structure, and mission.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of MARSOC future force capability requirements development.
  • Must have the ability to communicate orally and written across a component level Command and Staff.
  • Knowledge of JCS publications such as Unified Command Plans to formulate strategy, concepts, and plans related to force design and strategic planning.
  • Must possess a mastery of analytical techniques and the ability to comprehend, interpret, and convey complex concepts and issues in written correspondence and planning documents.

Working Conditions:

  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis
  • Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Noise level: Low to moderate
