About The Position
Job ID 50003764 - DON T SUBMIT IF TRAVELER DOES NOT HAVE PEDS EXPERIENCE IN A CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL. Will automatically be redirected. No exceptions - will be removed from consideration if no peds exp on profile.- RECENT ICU EXPERIENCE A MUST- **Current CA license as Respiratory Care Practitioner required**Requirements: California RCP License in hand RRT national credential required; RRT-NPS preferred 2 years experience at a dedicated Peds facility Experience with trachs and vents, suctioning and oxygen. No specialty or blood gases needed. ICU experience BLS (AHA) PALS (AHA) NRP (AHA) - Must be Advanced; Essential no longer accepted. Must have in hand or registered for an Advanced class in which they will have in hand prior to start date. Schedule Information: 3x12 Nights (7pm-7:30am) Weekend shifts per contract: 4 weekend shifts in 4 weeksRTO Standard: 6 days max. All RTO required up front, no exceptionsPatient Population:Pediatric care from acute care on the floors, pulmonary floor (treating pts with asthma, bronchiolitis, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, cystic fibrosis, tracheostomy-ventilated support), trauma, Medical (treating pts with bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia), PICU (treating mostly intubated pts and therapies including specialty gases heliox/iNO), NICU and CTICU where heart transplants are performed. High acuity Level 4 NICU. If they don t have a CA license, please let AM know status of license application upon submission.Accepts locals, same rate, no mileage restrictionsCandidates will float within hospital and for NICU they float satellite locationsPerm staff need to wait a year to be eligible to travelModules completed before start are non-billable (can take traveler 6-8 hours to complete). The hours spent on modules are not billable and do not count as orientation hours. All Orientation hours are billable.For NICU and HomeCare positions, travelers are reimbursed for mileage when driving to any other location, other than their home base facility they signed for at for NICU.-Mileage is reimbursed at IRS standard rate.-Reimbursement form must be sent in within 30 days of floating with unit manager approval.
