This modern, culture-driven firm provides integrated wealth management and tax advisory services to clients across Connecticut.Position Summary: Prepare and review tax returns while developing tax and financial strategies within a Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) practice. This role combines technical tax expertise with wealth management coordination in a collaborative, client-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review individual, fiduciary, exempt, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal and state lawsCalculate and prepare estimated federal and state tax payments for individuals and businessesDevelop and implement tax and financial strategies for clientsCommunicate with clients and staff to ensure timely delivery of financial statement reviews focused on tax compliance and profit maximizationInterpret, investigate, and respond to IRS and state tax agency correspondenceMaintain current knowledge of tax law changes and business environment trendsQualifications:CPA or EA highly preferred5+ years experience preparing and reviewing federal and state tax returnsTax planning and wealth management coordination experienceClient-facing experience with excellent communication and customer service skillsRIA industry experience preferredProficient in tax software (Lacerte, TaxDome, SurePrep preferred), QuickBooks, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong team collaboration skillsSupervisory experience a plus; desire to grow into leadership roleDetermining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
