Pharmacy Technician Pharmacy Technician Location: South Salt Lake, UT 84115 Pharmacy Technician Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday – Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pharmacy Technician Pay Rate: $24.45/hour Pharmacy Technician Job Summary: Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to perform prescription fulfillment, IV preparation, and data entry tasks. Assists with medication prepackaging, billing coordination, and inventory management to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy operations. Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities: Fills prescriptions and prepares IVs under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Collaborates with the Billing Supervisor to enter data into the computer system for prescription fulfillment and reimbursement processing. Prepackages medications for dispensing according to pharmacy standards and government regulations. Assists the Pharmacist with final prescription checks, including staging medication for review, packaging completed prescriptions, and coordinating accurate and timely delivery to customers. Supports Pharmacy Management in maintaining proper inventory practices, including receiving and rotating stock, documenting lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory. Works with the Technician Supervisor to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
