Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Pico Rivera, California

Position Overview:

Pico Rivera Unified School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to student success and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the needs of each student.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services provided.
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and other team meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with best practices and trends in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Valid California state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) as a Speech-Language Pathologist Services Credential.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
  • State Licensure: Must hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
  • Professional Certification: Must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Educator Certification: Must hold a valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Speech-Language Pathologist Services Credential.
