Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in the Alabama Fork, AL area for the 2024-2025 school year. This full-time, on-site position will focus on providing specialized instruction and support to middle school students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in a variety of subjects and skill areas.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instructional plans as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Alabama teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with middle school students with special needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
