The Opportunity:

When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems, and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, a quality assurance analyst who’s eager to help thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best systems possible.

As a quality assurance analyst, you’ll oversee testing in a fast-paced environment, including working with multiple project teams, platforms, architectures, and diverse technologies. You’ll work independently and with team members in an agile environment under the direction and supervision of senior technical lead.

You’ll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to observe how the system performs, then document the results and communicate system flaws to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll expand upon your experience in various types of testing, including testing and documenting services developed in Python and deployed with Lambda functions, as well as .NET applications.

You will develop unit and integration test procedures, update and create new automation test scripts based on change requests and defects, and execute test scripts to ensure the application is fully compliant with specifications. Additionally, you will perform functional or system tests, integration tests, regression tests, and performance tests, and update SOPs and design documentation.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Applications, and Services Testing
  • Experience developing user interface using HTML, Python, .NET, and APIs
  • Experience with application and testing tools, and using DevOps tools such as Jira, GitHub, or GitLab
  • Experience with programming and scripting
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Test Methodologies
  • Knowledge of cloud and application development
  • Ability to analyze requirements, formulate designs, and work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to research, be creative, and problem solve
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT, CS, or Data Science field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with automated test tools, including Selenium
  • Experience automating services and API tests
  • Experience with programming languages such as .NET, Python, or R
  • Experience executing the automation process
  • Possession of excellent analytical and logical reporting skills
  • Possession of excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $51,600.00 to $106,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
