Job Title: Classroom Aide Reports to: AHS and CEO/Head of School
The primary purpose of the Classroom Aide position is to provide the school the flexibility to meet a variety of needs such as student supervision and support,classroom support, campus supervision, lunch supervision, and clerical assistance.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
● Ensuring student safety by providing a sense of security and well-being within the school setting. Fosters Wai’alae’s Mission and Vision among students throughout the school day.
● Establishes rapport and encourages positive and constructive behaviors.
● Supervises students during breaks and lunches or within the classroom while the
teacher is otherwise engaged (e.g. in small group work).
● Keeps children in view at all times to ensure their physical safety both in- and outdoors.
● May conduct small group lessons
● May co-teach as planned with teachers
● May gather student data as directed by teachers and administrators.
● Other duties as assigned.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Note: Positions is 19hrs per week
