Summary:

As the Regional Mine Manager, you will be responsible for the mid-range and long-range mine planning and performance of mining operations at site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring safety compliance, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability, while fostering a positive and collaborative work culture. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive operational excellence. Job will include looking for opportunities to improve mining efficiencies, improve quality, balance life-of-mine reserves, and look for innovative approaches to mining and new technologies.

What you'll be contributing:

Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction for aspects of mining operations. Provide strategic capital planning for mobile equipment and crushing equipment rebuild and replacements. Provide support for mobile equipment maintenance practices, PMs, and repairs. Provide support to implement and optimize production plans to meet production targets, cost goals, and quality standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company safety policies. Investigate mining efficiencies and new technologies that will reduce cost and help with meeting company goals for carbon emissions reduction. Provide support and expand KPIs for Mining Group. Team Management: Help train and develop site staff to enhance their skills and contribute to the success of the operation. Financial Management: Provide support for budgeting and cost tracking for mining operations, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources. Monitor key performance indicators and provide support for corrective actions to achieve targets. Environmental and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure sites are in compliance with environmental regulations and help develop initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of mining operations. Collaborate with site regulatory authorities to obtain and maintain necessary permits. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Address community concerns and contribute to the company's reputation as a responsible corporate citizen. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Minimum 4 Years - Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or related fields. Minimum 5 Years of experience in mining operations, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement. Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in the mining industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates the ability to develop and execute strategic plans Domestic travel up to 75%
