Qualifications: A Christian with strong convictions who is also in agreement with Josiah White's mission statement, Statement of Faith, and Code of Conduct. Must be 21 years or older. Must have licensure in the state of Indiana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW. Three years of social service experience is required. Also, this person must be able to effectively lead and inspire others as a supervisor of a team and have good communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Reports to: Vice President and Executive Director of Family Services
Job Summary: The Director for preservation services is responsible for the overall management of the agency's family preservation program. This position requires thorough knowledge and execution of agency policies as well as those of the agency's regulatory and accrediting bodies related to family preservation services. This person will work alongside the Vice President and Executive Director of Family Services to promote the clinical integrity of programs and lead efforts to build a dynamic preservation program and ensure program compliance with all agency policies and procedures. Applicant will provide needed supervision for program staff who are working toward clinical licensure in all five of our Indiana locations Must demonstrate sensitivity to Josiah White's service population and commitment to student and staff development.
Basic Responsibilities
Program Administration
Provide ongoing evaluation of program effectiveness, identify programmatic enhancements, and coordinate implementation of new program strategies aimed toward ensuring positive outcomes for families served.
Participate with the VP and Executive Director of Family services in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the family preservation program development.
Identify, assess, and inform the VP and Executive Director of Family Services of internal and external issues that affect the strategic focus and well-being of the agency's family preservation program.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert and first point of contact to answer questions or respond to matters pertaining to Josiah White's Family Preservation program; demonstrate expertise and provide sound evaluations and recommendations that enable others to remain informed and understand critical issues.
Ensure program compliance with all agency policies and procedures, as well as regulatory, accreditation, and funding source rules and regulations.
Provide accurate, definitive direction to staff regarding family preservation policies and procedures; troubleshoot new issues as they arise and provide consistent feedback.
Provide regular reports of compliance status and plans to address any deficiencies to the VP and Executive Director of Family Services.
Participate in the organizational Incident Review Team, representing Family Preservation Services.
Participate in strategic planning for program growth with the VP and Executive Director of Family Services.
Provide necessary supervision toward professional licensure for staff working toward clinical licensure
Represent the organization and Family Preservation program in professional settings.
Operational Planning and Management
Regularly conduct risk assessments to mitigate harm to clients served, staff, and the agency; analyze and respond to critical incidents
Develop and implement an operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives congruent with the strategic direction of the agency's family preservation program.
Create a metrics system to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and assess each office's success relative to attaining the goals established Leverage all available resources (staff, clinical knowledge, environmental scans, etc.) to create an effective, engaging family preservation program that increases the number homes successfully completing their programing.
Establish standards of quality assurance in compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies; regularly evaluate implementation
Develop therapeutically sound treatment programs and clinical resources in collaboration with the clinical supervisors and regional managers
Direct PQI processes related to the family preservation program
Provide regular reports of compliance status and plans to address deficiencies to the VP and Executive Director of Family Services,
Agency Support and Enhancement
Develop and implement communication strategies for agency stakeholders relevant to the family preservation program
Construct a working relationship with the DCS customers through regular and consistent communication
Provide additional case management responsibilities/therapist responsibilities as needed.
Act as a spokesperson for the agency to further strategic objectives.
Professional Development
Attend workshops and other opportunities for professional growth
Analyze and assess performance feedback given through supervision and the coaching review process; respond accordingly.
Team Coordination
Create, reinforce, and evaluate staff contribution to a positive and therapeutic culture within the Family Preservation program.
Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and direct them toward a common vision and client centered approach.
Work collaboratively with local office leadership implementing family preservation within their team
Drive compliance efforts through serving the local office leadership from a supportive and informative position, allowing the VP and Executive Director of Family Services to provide accountability when needed.
Coordinate opportunities for individual and team professional development; create training content when needed.
Perform other duties assigned by the VP and Executive Director of Family Services

That is, one who enjoys working closely with other staff members and has the ability to be flexible, adaptive, and positive in his/her interactions with others including those supervised, peers, and others with whom Josiah White's interacts in fulfilling its goals and mission.
Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands of Position
Must be able to meet regular, and sometimes short, deadlines on documentation, evaluation, corrective responses, correspondence, and other assignments.
Working Conditions
Normal scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While there is not specific on call requirement, must be available for crisis consultation to local teams during business and non-business hours. Must share cell phone contact with EDFS and local team leadership and monitor a cell phone during times when not on PTO. Will require regularly occurring travel to branch locations.
