Technical Engineering Leader - Product Design

As a Technical Leader in Product Design, you will partner with R&D teams as well as manufacturing and quality teams to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products. You will influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products. You will be a key leader in our mission to become a world class customer experience company through our products and services.

Minimum qualifications:

BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline10+ years of experience in Product Design and Engineering7+ years of experience working on product development, stage gate projects, including prototyping, testing, and analysisExpert level experience in dimensional engineering and tolerance analysisExpert level experience in 2D and 3D CAD modeling

Preferred qualifications:

7+ years of experience working in Research and Development or working in a product development environmentAbility to diagnose and solve complex problems involving product and processExcellent communication skills to collaborate with design, marketing, quality, IT, and manufacturing teamsFluency in FEA and stress modeling: structural, thermal, and/or fluids Experience with test method creation and improvements to methodsProven track record of delivering innovative product solutions within project time constraintsExperience with characterization, process monitoring, specifications, failure analysis and data analysisAbility to concisely present facts to team members at all levels and backgroundsAbility to code in Python, Java, or similar languageKnowledge of manufacturing, lean, and process improvement methodologyLeadership experience is a plus, either in project or people leadershipExcellent time management and organizational skillsHands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
