Job Summary:
SPL is growing and is currently looking for a Laboratory Assistant in CITY, STATE. The Laboratory Assistant must be team oriented, proactive and goal driven. This position, under supervision, is responsible for performing cleaning procedures, inspections of glassware, and QAQC checks to validate the cleaning process. This position is also responsible for proper disposal of samples according to the SOP’s.
Responsibilities:
Properly dispose of samples and waste as per Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and Standard Operating Procedures; Determine appropriate cleaning procedure needed for specific glassware types;Perform inspections and maintain/repair components of cylinders as necessary (valves, O-rings, pressure gauges, etc.);Ensure QAQC checks are performed for verification of cleaning process;Track stock of consumable supplies used for cleaning process and all glassware;Daily QAQC checks of analytical and top load balances throughout the laboratory facility;Other duties as assigned.Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
This position does not require travel.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 8 hours, Monday-Friday in the Kilgore, TX Office. This position is subject to overtime availability to meet deadlines.
