Job Title: Registered Nurse Educator

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Educator to join our team. As a key member of our nursing education department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs for nursing staff across our facilities.Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Educator will collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership and staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate, and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel. This includes orientation, continuing education, and in-services, as well as process, performance, and service-delivery consultation.Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for nursing staff, including classroom, clinical experiences, and learning technologies.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to identify educational needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
  • Implement Tenet's comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs of nursing staff.
  • Ensure all program/course revisions meet Department of Nursing and regulatory expectations and standards.
  • Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities, and mentorship opportunities.
  • Deliver/coordinate other educational programs as directed, such as Grand Rounds, in-services, continuing education, job-specific, and specialty curricula.
  • Provide leadership to preceptors and serve as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring.
  • Participate in continuing education provider unit learning and evaluate nursing education activities that qualify for continuing education credit.
  • Participate in activities to keep abreast of changes to market/facility policies/procedures and the expectations of the educator role.
  • Assist in the development of clinical policies and procedures as requested.
  • Provide guidance, resources, and knowledge for professional growth of others.
  • Mentor colleagues, other nurses, students, and others as appropriate.
  • Participate in quality performance improvement activities.Requirements:
    • Master's degree in nursing or related field.
    • Five years of clinical nursing experience, with at least two in area of specialization.
    • Experience in the teaching and learning process.
    • Registered nurse licensed to practice in Commonwealth of MA.
    • BLS, ACLS.
    • Certification in clinical specialty required.Benefits:
