Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the Journeyman Maintenance Technician is manufacturing machine troubleshooting (electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) for both Plants 1 and 2. Duties also include maintenance to facilities of manufacturing plants as well as storage or warehouse properties leased by Tenneco.
Major Job Responsibilities but not limited to:
Troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all equipment relative to manufacturing machinery and facilities.
Installation and movement of manufacturing machinery and the supporting utilities
Support maintenance work order and preventive maintenance process utilizing the SAP data base.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Must have a federal or state certified journeyman’s card (10+ years of maintenance technical experience could be considered)
Working knowledge of electro-mechanical machinery
Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Theoretical understanding, exposure, and working use of programmable controllers.
Understanding and experience with electronic principles.
Strong mechanical background including transmission theory.
Basic working knowledge of personal computers.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance
Knowledge of relay and programmable logic controllers including PLC troubleshooting and basic programming.
Ability to understand and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, diagrams, engineering specifications and operating instructions
Experience with automated machine repair.
Experience performing machine maintenance and machine troubleshooting
Familiarity with Windows based computer software
Experience using SAP would be a benefit.
Must possess meter and primary tools to perform the job effectively.
Mathematical Skills:
Be able to read, understand, and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
Reasoning Ability:
Demonstrated troubleshooting ability.
Good logical and problem solving skills.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Ability:
Will be in tight areas, expected to reach and service equipment from all angles.
Shall be comfortable working at elevated heights.
Shall be required to lift up to 50 pounds, work in both hot and cold environments, and be on your feet for the majority of the work.
Will be exposed to greases, lubricants, detergents, paints, solvents, and other industrial liquids.
Will be exposed to handling and servicing filters that contain weld dust, dirt and general air borne contaminates.
