What You'll Do:

 

As a Global Turnaround Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation by developing and implementing a Best-in-Class Turnaround Process and Discipline for Turnaround Excellence across global Lubrizol. Excellence in turnaround begins with partnering with plant turnaround capabilities to establishing the most profitable frequency, developing the most profitable scope, execution with precision and efficiency, controlling scope creep, controlling cost, controlling duration, collecting, and instilling lessons learned. The Global Turnaround Manager will establish the Turnaround Technology Team that will participate in Best Practice Development, Performance Assessment, and Continuous Improvement. The Global Turnaround Manager reports directly to the Sr. Director of Operations Excellence and will be integrated into the overall Continuous Improvement Global Capability.

  • Create a Turnaround Technology Team and develop a Global Turnaround Strategy.
  • Leading the development of the most profitable Turnaround Process and Management System. 
  • Developing best in class turnaround strategy and plan for cost, scope, and duration controls with associated performance measures and leading indicators.
  • Global implementation of the Best-in-Class Lubrizol Turnaround Capability.

 

Skills That Make a Difference: 

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience in turnaround processes.
  • 10 years in a petrochemical or refining setting, preferrable turnarounds or maintenance
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Experience in planning & scheduling.
  • Experience in influential leadership where success depends upon leading a culture of challenge and improvement.
  • Entrepreneurial focus with a drive towards value.
  • Ability and discipline to “hold the line” when necessary to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Experience developing processes and process management systems.
  • Ability to drive change at multiple levels.
  • Working knowledge of lean sigma methodology and tools (Kaizen, RCA. FMEA).
  • Engineering Degree considered a plus.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% - 75%.
