Land Use Director

The town of Lunenburg seeks qualified applicants for the Land Use Director position.

Under the general direction of the Town Manager, the Land Use Director coordinates the activities of all of the Boards and Departments involved in regulating land use and land development in town. Coordinates with Sewer Commission and Department of Public Works on utility, storm water management, drainage, road extension or development and/or other related development matters. Provides direct supervision of all land use departments. Serves as liaison to the Planning Board. Attends evening meetings as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in community or regional planning, with a specialization in land use, environmental planning or economic development; minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in municipal planning department; or any other equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference given to candidates with a master’s degree in community or regional planning or related field, AICP certification and equivalent experience.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), benefited position. Pay range: $44.86-$55.19/hr. Rate to increase as of July 1.
