Duty Location: Clark County, Nevada



Duties

At the full performance level, the primary duties of this position include the following:

  • Coordinates the implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria.
  • Ensures proper backup procedures for system and network information. Implements Federal Information Security Management (FISMA) Information System Security, and Privacy and training requirements.
  • Participates in the assessment of new systems design methodologies and performs implementation activities. Reviews and provides feedback on proposed new systems, networks, and software design s for potential security risks.
  • Coordinates with other IT staff on development and implementation of information cybersecurity system and application policies, guidelines, standards, requirements, and procedures.
  • Advises and assists staff in carrying out security development, implementation, operations, and maintenance requirements.
  • Plans and coordinates the delivery of IT security awareness training program for end users throughout the organization. Applies knowledge of Federal InfoSec directives, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards to facilitate the completion of assigned duties.
