  • City Experiences is seeking a Port Captain for our HMS Ferries operation in Steilacoom, WA.
  • The Port Captain is responsible for supervising the vessel Masters and overseeing project safety, training and regulatory compliance programs.
  • The Port Captain must be willing and able to operate project vessels when needed.
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of all phases of shipboard safety procedures and knowledge of location and use of all firefighting and safety equipment (i.e. fire extinguishers, life preservers, work vest).
  • Develop strong relationships with appropriate members of client staff and represent HMS as helpful, cooperative and proactive members of the larger organization
  • Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card), and/or ability to obtain and maintain.
  • 3 years’ experience as Senior Captain or above of a large passenger vessel.
  • 1 year experience as Master with Pierce County Ferry, preferred.
