Job Description

ZF Foxconn Chassis Modules is a 50-50 joint venture between ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Foxconn (Hon Hai Technology Group), created by using core competencies from existing business areas to jointly develop new services for automotive markets. Our Duncan, South Carolina facility is hiring for an Operations Manager The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing all manufacturing activities to meet plant objectives for safety, product quality, productivity, on time delivery and cost effectiveness, as well as manage engineering, production, and maintenance departmental activities to meet or exceed customer and company requirements.

 

What you can look forward to as the Operations Manager:

  • Develop, implement and meet strategic departmental plans to meet plant wide objectives for safety, quality, productivity, on time delivery and cost effectiveness.

  • Apply LEAN principles that ensure improved productivity, efficiency and eliminate waste.

  • Seek ways to reduce scrap with the objective to attain world class internal and external PPM targets.

  • Budget manpower, equipment, capital and resources necessary to meet customer and company requirements and assure adherence to the approved budget.

  • Cascade the goal planning process to direct reports and follow up on a periodic bases to ensure goals are met.

  • Hire, develop and build teams (engineers, technicians, and other appropriate support functions) to meet customer demands and satisfaction; solve internal process issues; and implement and monitor continuous improvement.

  • Direct the activities of the engineers and technical support; Work on a daily basis with the contract company to ensure adequate resources and proper work activities are maintained at all times.

 

Your Profile as the Operations Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or ten (10) years equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of five years supervisory/management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, etc. (SAP desired)

  • Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
