Our Cashiers are trained to provide great customer service to our visitors. Work locations may include various Seattle swimming pools, the Amy Yee Tennis Center, or the Seattle Japanese Garden.
  
Working hours vary based on facility needs and your availability.

Work Schedule may include weekends & holidays.
 

Successful Candidates will have:
 

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful customer service-oriented person with a strong math aptitude and excellent verbal communication skills. 
  • Bilingual or Multilingual language skills
  • Knowledge of the operation of a computerized cash handling and registration system or a strong aptitude for computer learning. 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, 10-key, and multi-line phones. 
  • Willing and able to learn new concepts and procedures, with the ability to handle stressful situations with a positive attitude. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as a strong team player that demonstrates reliability, engages in problem solving, understands constructive communication, and exhibits care and commitment to their work. 
  • Demonstrates strong cultural sensitivity skills when engaging visitors and coworkers. 
Licensing/Certification
First Aid and CPR certification may be required depending on assigned department.
May be required to pass a criminal background check.

Job offers are contingent on the verification of credentials and other information required by the employment process.

Work Environment 

Work is typically performed in a recreation facility/office environment; may be performed in confined areas; and may require standing for long periods of time.

Required to work irregular hours, holidays, evenings and weekends.

May be required to lift up to 30 pounds.

Work with culturally diverse populations.

Must be able to deal with customers who may at times be verbally or physically inappropriate.

Ability to speak a second language is desirable at some locations. 
 
The full salary range for this position is $24.98- $29.23 per hour.
