We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Technology-focused Communications Specialist to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL, or Plano, TX.
To support Brown & Brown's continued focus on innovative information technology and how we effectively communicate across the organization, the organization is seeking a Communications Specialist to assist the Technology Solutions team with elevating the team's visibility and the creation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of key communications specific to information technology. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in technology and a knack for translating complex technical topics into accessible and engaging content for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do:
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Communication Strategy - Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to promote Technology Solutions' overall goals and objectives, services, projects, and initiatives, targeting key audiences within the organization, where applicable.
Content Creation - Create engaging content, including email, intranet content/articles, newsletters, infographics, change management messaging, presentations and more, that effectively convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
Collaboration - Work closely with Technology Solutions leaders and teams to gather technical information, insights and timely updates for business-targeted marketing/communications materials.
Internal Team Communication and Alignment - Collaborate with technology leaders/project managers to design communication plans for major technology projects, ensuring other Technology Solutions stakeholders are well-informed about project updates and milestones.
External Team Communication - Facilitate clear and concise communication across the Brown & Brown enterprise to help educate business teammates about important updates, projects and change management-related training.
Teammate Engagement - Create touchpoints to promote the business-aligned accomplishments and innovations of the Technology Solutions team.
Incident Response Communication - Support incident response strategies for technology-related issues or outages, ensuring timely updates and effectively addressing concerns for business impact.
Informational Resources and Awareness - Help develop and implement informational resources and awareness campaigns to promote understanding of technology initiatives, business impacts, technology policies.
Brand Management - Ensure that all Technology Solutions-related marketing and communication materials align with the company's brand guidelines and messaging.
Event Coordination – Help plan and organize Technology Solutions-related events, such as town halls, annual meetings/conferences, internal/external teammate engagement programs and more.
Direct support of our Technology Solutions and Communications, Brand & Digital team on various projects.
What You'll Need:
Required:
Minimum of 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365, including Project Management tools and programs.
2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
Experience in information technology, technical communications or organizational change management is a plus.
Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus.
