The Opportunity

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is key to delivering the right talent at the right time to Grand Casino departments.  They are a champion for branding Grand Casinos as a great place to work, based on their knowledge of hiring. Responsible for assisting with the successful coordination and administration of the recruitment and staffing function for the company. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play an integral part in the company’s recruiting efforts by building a candidate pool with recruitment. 

What You Get to Do

Team player on the Talent Acquisition team. Work with the Sourcing Specialist and internal Business Partners to develop a pipeline of ready talent. Foster relationships with past applicants and potential candidates, building a pipeline of future talent. Maintain a database of resumes of candidates that fit the profile of jobs in which we hire. Leverage technology and processes to manage candidate flow, screening, interviews, and decisions. Conduct all initial screens of potential candidates for open positions and work with operations leaders and Business Partners to present candidates who meet the minimum qualifications of open positions for further consideration. Record and track the filling of open positions and reduce time to fill according to department standards. Assist Talent Acquisition Manager and Talent Development Director in workforce planning efforts. Know and follow all federal, state, local and tribal employment laws. Conduct open positions intakes and clarify hiring manager requirements for qualified candidates. Review discrepancies of employment information collected requests clarification and/or advises Business Partners of issues related to the employment information. Contact all new hires and departments when orientation no-shows occur. Perform routine administrative duties required by the Talent Acquisition department. Develop and maintain good working relationships with Talent Team, managers, members of the business community such as Gaming Regulatory Authority, vendors, and various employment agencies. Display a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment, and the ability to deal with confidential matters. All other duties as assigned related to this role.

What Qualifies You

Minimum of two (2) years Human Resource or clerical experience required. Must have one (1) year experience and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. Must be able to secure license from Gaming Regulatory Authority. Responsible for following all relevant Detailed Gaming Regulations (DGR’s). Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
