You will be a part of a nationally recognized team of pediatric specialists as we seek to hire Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatricians (Part-Time & Full-Time) to join our Urgent Care team at 4477 S Lamar Blvd and 9835 N Lake Creek Parkway, Austin locations. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin Texas. This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up with the support and resources of a nationally ranked Children s Hospital.
Position Highlights:
The Urgent Care Department is looking for exceptionally talented, patient-oriented physicians and advanced practice providers who excel in a fast-paced environment for full-time, and part- employment. With Urgent Care locations in Greater Houston and Austin, our staff provides quality convenient patient care designed to meet the needs of children and young adults through the age of 18. As part of our Urgent Care team, physicians and advanced practice providers enjoy the following:
Support of either a physician and advanced practice providers, physician assistant or nurse practitioner, as well as a registered nurseDay, evening, and weekend schedulingResponsibilities:
Assesses, diagnoses, treats, and educates patients.Documents information in patient's chart regarding assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and educationRecords diagnosis/CPT in an accurate, timely manner to ensure prompt posting of charges per site protocol.Provides verbal and/or written information regarding treatment regimens in language that is understandable and appropriate for the patient and/or caregiver.Serves as a credible, knowledgeable educational resource for the patient, family, community, and other healthcare professionals.Participates in site meetings and provides input to address patient care issues or operational concerns.Qualifications:
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children's, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.PALS and/or BLS certification from the American Heart Association. (PALS strongly preferred).M.D. license must meet all normal credentialing requirements as verified and maintained by Physician Staff ServicesCompletion of a Residency in Pediatrics required.About Texas Children s Hospital:
