The Opportunity

The CAD Technician will be able to prepare Boundary and Topographic Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivision plats, parcel and easement descriptions, and tree inventory surveys.

Work Location: Hybrid after training phase

The qualified candidate will:

  • Efficiently plan and prepare CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Perform research and gather data for new and ongoing projects
  • Process and interpret survey data collected in the field
  • Create and interpret 3D surface models
  • Read and interpret property legal descriptions, easements, and plats
  • Understand construction plans and general construction principals
  • Maintain and organize digital and paper survey records
  • Collaborate with planners, project managers, and engineers regarding projects
  • Interact daily will field crews and provide direction and support for ongoing projects

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of survey related AutoCAD Civil3D experience
  • Experience with Trimble Business Center
  • MicroStation and ArcGIS experience preferred
  • Associate's degree in a land surveying related field and/or formal CAD training preferred
  • Land Surveyor In Training preferred
  • General knowledge of field survey procedures and equipment
  • Previous survey field crew experience preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Earth Pro

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
