  • Position Description:The University of Iowa Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine is recruiting a board-certified cardiologist at the rank of Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, depending on qualifications.
  • This position will be in the clinical (non-tenure) track and is not eligible for university sponsorship for employment authorization.
  • Patient care may occur at University of Iowa Health Care affiliated sites in the community, to include University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, community hospitals, outreach sites and/or the affiliated Iowa City VA Medical Center.
  • Duties will include inpatient rounding, outpatient clinic and noninvasive imaging as well as a share of overnight/weekend call.
  • Duties may include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and/or advanced imaging, depending on qualifications.
  • Required Qualifications:Candidates must show completion of an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship or equivalent.
  • Certifications:A board certification in cardiology is required.
  • Desirable Qualifications:Applicants with evidence of a strong commitment to clinical research, outcomes research and/or teaching are preferred.
