Database administration & troubleshooting of Informix V12 Installation patching and Upgradation of Informix Create and manage environment configuration scripts and to perform tasks like Health Checks Extent growth of an Instance Create instances Database and configure scripts on the Cron Should be able to Backup/restore the database using Ontape and Onbar utilities Responsible for 100% uptime of DB Monitoring and resolving the problem tickets being generated DB Copy/Creation Chunk Management Working in HDR/ER and other cluster environment Good understanding and experience on Unix editing (vi etc) and scripting (KShell) skills Operational tasks like adding space to dbspaces create/drop dbspace Expert knowledge on timeseries setup and configuration Experienced in migration of Database from one OS platform to another will be an added advantage Monitor system resources of database servers to assure production systems meet performance & availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience supporting 24x7 environments. Should have excellent Problem analytical skills
