Physical Therapist Assistant I

FTE: Full Time, 0.8, 64.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs.
Responsibilities:
- Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
- Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Assists with patient discharge planning.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or related program.
- Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
