We are hiring a Project Scheduler supporting NSWC Crane's Strategic Microelectronics. This position will be located in Boston, MA.
As a Project Scheduler, you will manage a large, multi-year project under the general guidance of the Program Manager. You will engage with multiple government entities and performers to create, update, monitor, and report out on the integrated project schedules. Comprehensive knowledge of every feature and capability of Microsoft Project is essential. Interface with the customer in work performance will be required.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain complex Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
- Perform scheduling activities including documenting, providing status, tracking, and coordinating programmatic and project milestones and deliverables.
- Manage tasks and resources, Gantt charts, and chronological views.
- Create detailed project plans, set milestones, and define team members efficiently.
- Break down projects into manageable tasks, define dependencies, and establish timelines.
- Interact with multiple customers to ensure tracking and completion of scheduled tasks.
- Perform, document, and coordinate discrepancy resolution of status and completion date reviews for area of responsibility.
- Prepare presentation material and present on status of IMS as required.
- Perform other related or associated duties as required.
- Minimum quarterly travel will be required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and at least seven (7) years of job-related experience or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active US Government Secret clearance. Please note that U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance. Interim Clearance required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of systems engineering technical review (SETR) process including reviews, entrance and exit criteria, and major program milestones.
- Active Secret Clearance
