Position Opening – Full-Time Mold Remediation Technician

MoldEaters is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented and customer-focused Mold Remediation Technician to join our team. This position provides mold remediation services to residential and commercial customers. You do not need to be certified in mold remediation to apply MoldEaters will provide mold remediation training with opportunities for certification to a motivated individual.

Essential Job Functions:
• Perform mold remediation in accordance with established processes and written protocols
• Provide professional and discreet customer service
• Travel to various job sites and work in tight spaces with potentially hazardous materials
• Follow all local, state and federal safety laws, policies and guidelines

Required Qualifications:
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• History of timely and consistent work performance
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to follow guidelines and adhere to all safety regulations
• Ability to correctly utilize all tools, technology, and protective gear to complete a job
• Ability to interact with customers utilizing a professional trustworthy demeanor
• Ability to confidently communicate scope of work to customers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Acceptable driving record and clean criminal background
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, maybe more

Preferred Qualifications:
• Nonsmoker (our customers often have environmental sensitivities or allergies)
• Basic construction knowledge and background in remodeling, maintenance, HVAC technology, and/or sheetrock repair
• Mold remediation certification

Hours & Compensation:
• Competitive hourly compensation based on skills and experience
• Generally 40 hours per week Monday through Friday at various job sites in the Portland and Southwest Washington Metropolitan areas
• Some early morning shifts with occasional weekends and out of area projects

This job involves working in environmental conditions that sometimes require the use of a respirator and other protective gear. We work in active living and office spaces as well as attics and crawlspaces and will provide on the job training for the use of all technology and PPE (personal protection equipment).
