Position Summary:

The Patient Access Specialist purpose is to interview patients or family members to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, explain consents, distribute patient education hand-outs and explain their contents, obtain consent and responsibility signatures and answer any questions the patient or family member may have.

Training and Continued Education

Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees. 

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in Administrative Support Technology, Business or Office Technology preferred.
  • Medical terminology experience recommended.
  • Proficient in use of software programs.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills a must.
