Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking an experienced Mother Baby Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. You will be knowledgeable of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical conditionYou will perform a head-to-toe assessment on maternal and newborn and reassessments as per policyYou will formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectivenessYou will communicate appropriately and clearly to charge nurse, coworkers and physiciansYou will consult other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needsYou will coordinate and supervise patient care, as necessaryYou will demonstrate an ability to assist physicians with procedures in the mother/baby areaYou will interact professionally with patient/family and involve patient/family in the formation of the plan of careYou will maintain a good working relationship both within the department and with other departmentsYou will identify and address psychosocial needs of patients and familyWhat qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing programCurrent Nevada Registered Nurse (R.N.) licenseCurrent BLS certificationSTABLE and NRP within 90 days of hireMinimum 1-year recent acute care experienceSouthern Hills Hospital is a 260+ bed acute care hospital. We provide emergency and pediatric emergency services. Our facility also offers a behavioral health unit serving teens and adults, anaccredited Chest Pain Center, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a dedicated orthopedic and spine unit.
